This is a safe iodine choice and I love it. So economical too. Six month supply you really can’t lose with this since I think we are all iodine deficient.

I take sea kelp daily as a supplement for hypothyroidism, along with selenium and L-tyrosine and I find the combination of all three helps with my fatigue and energy levels. I find Nature's Way brand of supplements to be great quality. I have several Nature's Way supplements I take on the regular such as sea kelp, selenium, olive leaf extract!
My blood work said I was within normal limits but I was always tired. I researched iodine deficiencies and the symptoms fitted me perfectly. According to this website 85 % of people are iodine deficient unless you comsume a lot of fish and seafood or live in coastal areas. I wanted something natural (not the garbage added to iodized salt which I rarely use). I told my doctor but I think she is skeptical. I've been taking Nature's Way Kelp supplement for almost a decade and it works wonders in helping to keep my Thyroid to work optimally. Before my doctor recommended taking Nature's Way Kelp, I was taking a potassium iodide supplement which didn't work as effectively as the Kelp. I prefer taking Kelp because it gently stimulates my Thyroid to maintain optimum levels rather than forcing my Thyroid to maintain balance like a medication does. I had been messing around with Lugols Iodine for a while and my thyroid test levels were not great. I switched to this Kelp product and retested and my thyroid levels were smack dab in the middle of the healthy range. I know people will make compelling cases to take Lugols but make sure you actually need it before you supplement. Get a blood test and see where the thyroid is. A simple thing like adding this Kelp may be all you need.
Has a slight sea taste (to be expected). I wish the dose wasn't so high per capsule (it's over 100%), but I just make sure to not take it everyday...which could be saving me money in the long haul. Love the sustainability pledge and seems high quality.
