I have insulin resistance; my naturopath (ND) recommended Inositol to reverse that problem. It's amazing how well it works! My enlarged abdomen (from too much stored fat) got smaller and I lost about 37 pounds over a few months (3 years ago). I've continued to lose weight and tummy-size more slowly. And I am no longer pre-diabetic. Inositol is one of the B-vitamins (B8), but is considered non-essential. However, if you are experiencing insulin resistance, that means you are not getting enough of that vitamin on a daily basis. I add the powder to my daily smoothie; my ND suggested starting with 1/8 tsp/day for a few weeks, then slowly increase to 1/4 tsp/day. My insulin resistance caused some problems in my liver, so I later increased inositol amount to 1/2 tsp/day. There are two types of inositol: myo- and chiro-inositol. The body can convert one to the other as needed, but the version that works the best to resolve insulin resistance is myo-inositol (Jarrow's jar says "myo-inositol" on the back of the jar).

Much higher quality than some other brands, fine powder, dissolves completely in water. Works amazingly well for OCD and anxiety. However, you need to take the right doses, which are pretty high. I take 3 teaspoons, divided during the day. Clinical studies suggest 12 to 18 grams a day. Also you should let it kick in for a few weeks to see real results.

Someone recommended this to me because they said it helps with anxiety and depression. I recently had to say goodbye to my very best friend, my mini doxie of 13 yrs and the grief....well, I'm sure any pet owner would understand this. While this product did not "take it all away". I do feel more in control of my emotions. It tastes pleasant as it is sweet. I either dissolve in a little water or just add to a smoothie. Very easy to take and i love that Iherb always tells you the expiration dates on the products they sell. Great quality...I trust Jarrow and their pure ingredients.

I find this helps with cravings and also helps me lose a pound or two which otherwise does not come off. I dont even have to try. I believe you need to have adequate selenium levels if you want to take this to help lower TSH and thyroid antibodies. Also, helps with anxiety. I always get Jarrows Myoinositol powder as I like adjusting my dose which you can't do with a capsule.

I've had such good experiences taking Inositol. It's helped so much with my gut health! My IBS is non-existent now, which is crazy to think. The only issue I've had is figuring out the right dose. I don't eat a lot of sugar/carbohydrates and so I've been altering my dosage according to how my body is responding. Watch out for night sweats! My advice: Be willing to alter your dosage, don't just opt for 6-12 grams at a time, your body might not need that much.

This one from Jarrow Formulas is of pharmaceutical grade which offers higher quality. The ingredient is simply 100% inositol which is why I prefer this powder form than the capsule one. It’s easily soluble in room temperature water and the taste is nice. Nothing chemical at all. Love this. Highly recommended.

I’ve tried more than 20 different brands of inositol, this one works the best for my panic attacks, they just go away. If anybody wants to try this for anxiety, be sure to take a tablespoon or a little bit more, that’s when it begins to work for anxiety and panic

Love that I can tailor my dose with this! I add this to my matcha and other tea and it dissolves perfectly. I’ve also just mixed it with water and it’s great. It’s mildly sweet, so I love it in drinks. I just wish I could find some d Chiro inositol separately to take with it

I have been taking this for depression symptoms and I would like to believe it's helping. I easily get side effects even from taking supplements but this haven't caused me any which is a plus. It's in powder form which means you can adjust the doses easily compared to pills.

Inositol, vitamin B8 - Decreased Panic Attacks and better metabolism. I am taking a teaspoon a couple of times a day. Inositol is water-soluble, it doesn't have a high risk of overdose. Very nice taste. Helps my nervous system. I started taking it when I read that people with panic disorder reported fewer panic attacks while taking inositol than they did with an antidepressant. Inositol actually benefits the body in other ways too. It helps your body process insulin which is important for everyone and especially those who are trying to stay slim. It a gift from God.
