This tin of flavor and texture adds another layer, seafood saltiness, to my pasta sauces. Delicious! The ingredients are just chopped sea clams in salt water. On its own it tastes wonderful. Smells of the sea and fresh clams. Wish Bar Harbour had canned whole clams and clam juice too. Size is 184g.
These clams were really tasty added to a creamy seafood pasta. Bar Harbor Food was awarded the MSC US Ocean Champion Award for going above and beyond the MSC standards in 2020 and for their dedication to seafood sustainability. I have been trying to choose more sustainable seafood as I think this is really important and have decided on this brand as a good canned option.
These clams have a nice, clean, mild taste and I enjoy eating them. They don't have any fishy type flavor like canned oysters. They are a little pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I enjoy several products from this company, and trust them more than the popular brands found in all the grocery stores.
this is great. I would keep on ordering them because they taste good and not rubbery, and it makes a delicious plate of pasta if you add the necessary other ingredients of garlic, tomato, and white wine(a must), and this brand even has a seafood stock in a can that you can easily add to make it acquire even more real seafood flavor. great combo!
hard to find chopped sea clams in my side of town, and in a can. excellent as a pantry staple for pastas, soups and strews. for some reason i like its label as well.
Cannot find canned clams in Australia and we were dying to try a clam chowder recipe we had from family in the states. These were perfect and reasonably priced. Really fast delivery made it even better.
